Question to the experts:
What is the ideal backpack weight for 2 nights 3 days trip?
I understand that the lighter it is, it will be better, but there is always fine balance between going ultra light versus $$$$ invested.
Here's a summary of the weight of my current backpack: the numbers are slightly off, but the total weight is running at 34.1 lbs (not 33.89 lbs listed) on my bike scale which includes bear canister, food, water and rain gears.
The current weight will go up slightly as I add in few food items that are not yet included. Additionally optional gear items such as following are not included in the total weight as well.
I wanted to hear from your experiences what your loaded backpack weight is as comparison.
I know that personally the biggest weight savings for me is on tent, where I can shed easily ~2 lbs if I went with something like Big Agnes Fly Creek UL2, but for now I will have to do with what I have which is Big Agnes Seedhouse 2 (not SL2) where it weighs 4 lbs 8 oz.
