Question to the experts:
What is the ideal backpack weight for 2 nights 3 days trip?

I understand that the lighter it is, it will be better, but there is always fine balance between going ultra light versus $$$$ invested.

Here's a summary of the weight of my current backpack:  the numbers are slightly off, but the total weight is running at 34.1 lbs (not 33.89 lbs listed) on my bike scale which includes bear canister, food, water and rain gears.

The current weight will go up slightly as I add in few food items that are not yet included.  Additionally optional gear items such as following are not included in the total weight as well.
  • cell phone - 7.7 oz
  • camera - 6.9 oz
  • GPS receiver - 6.1 oz
  • music player - 1.7 oz
  • battery charger - 11.1 oz
  • fishing items - not weighed yet

I wanted to hear from your experiences what your loaded backpack weight is as comparison.

I know that personally the biggest weight savings for me is on tent, where I can shed easily ~2 lbs if I went with something like Big Agnes Fly Creek UL2, but for now I will have to do with what I have which is Big Agnes Seedhouse 2 (not SL2) where it weighs 4 lbs 8 oz.

You are correct on the big three items.  They are backpack, shelter, sleeping bag and sleeping mat.  It looks like ours are pretty close in weight, 13.53 lbs (mine.  I included the sleeping bag stuff sack and a small air pump for the sleeping pad) vs 13.2 lbs (5.0 + 2.6 + 1.6 + 4.0).

Here's the detailed breakdown of items in my backpack.  I have broken down to items that are grouped (or packed) together.  I did this more of as a checklist for me to pack and ensure that I don't leave anything behind at home.

Hopefully this list will be useful for other BAC members that are planning to join backpacking in the future.

I know that there are definitely few items that can be changed to shave the weight, and also I have few redundant items that can be left behind.  But I am figuring I will adjust as I gain more experience.

Please note:  the weight listed under items column are what manufacturers noted as the weight.  The weight column is the actual weight on my scale.

물을 6.5 파운드라고 쓰셨는데, 그건 너무 무겁군요.
    500 mL 로 3병 정도에다
    Water Filter 를 가져가면 됩니다.

1500 mL = 50.7 oz = 3.3 lbs.  That is exactly half of the water that I was planning to take.  From my past biking experiences, I normally drink 70 oz of water for my longer bike rides, so I could reduce some weight there.
